Rob Crilly has spent four years living and working in Africa writing for The Irish Times, The Christian Science Monitor and The Daily Mail. He is currently East Africa correspondent of The Times. From his base in Nairobi he has covered wars in Darfur, Somalia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Rob was born in London in 1973 and studied Natural Sciences at Downing College, Cambridge. Before becoming a journalist he researched the ethics of genetic engineering at Nottingham University.
