Sergei Golitsyn
  BIO
Sergei Golitsyn wrote his memoirs secretly during the communist era with little expectation that they would ever be published. After the fall of communism his book Memoirs of A Survivor was finally published and sold 100,000 copies. It has been translated by his cousin Nicholas Witter, whose grandmother invited the Golitsyn family to take refuge at their estate in Bogoroditsk during the Revolution as famine raged in Mosow. Golitsyn died in 1990. Translator Nicholas Witter lives in London.
