Lady Magdalene Hall married Colonel Sir William Howe de Lancey, Wellington's deputy quatermaster-general, on April 4, 1815. After his death she returned to Britain and eventually remarried, but died shortly after the birth of her third child in 1822. Two of her descendants; her great grandson and her great-great grandson died fighting in World Wars 1 and 2.
